Wat Nang Phaya is located next to Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (Wat Yai) in the heart of Phitsanulok city. It is a historically significant temple from the Sukhothai era, famous as the origin of "Phra Nang Phaya," one of the five most revered amulets (Benjapakee), renowned for its power of loving-kindness, popularity, and protection.
Origin of Phra Nang Phaya: This famous amulet hoard was first discovered in 1901 (B.E. 2444). Currently, amulet enthusiasts visit to pay homage and seek blessings.

Wat Nang Phaya is considered another famous and worthwhile temple to visit in Phitsanulok province. From here, you can also walk to Wat Yai and Wat Ratchaburana. Get three things in one visit!
