Tham Khao Wong Temple is a large wooden building surrounded by limestone mountains, making it look like a beautiful resort amidst the cool, refreshing winter atmosphere. But in reality, it's actually Tham Khao Wong Temple, a temple shaped like a spirit house. Our experts say that if you look closely, it resembles a giant spirit house.
Tham Khao Wong Temple is located in Ban Rai Subdistrict, not far from Mueang District. The temple features traditional Thai architecture with four floors. The ground floor houses a multi-purpose courtyard, as well as various shops. The second floor houses a viharn (ordination hall) and a replica of the Buddha's footprint.
The third floor houses the Ariyapuja Hall for meditation, while the ubosot (ordination hall) is located on the fourth floor. In addition to making merit and paying homage to the replica of the Buddha's footprint, the ubosot (ordination hall) offers a stunning view.
The cave behind the temple is a popular spot for Buddhists. People come here to practice Dhamma and meditate in peace amidst nature.
