Gunung Silipat is a beautiful and famous mountain peak and sea of ​​mist viewing point in Betong District, Yala Province. It is considered one of the most beautiful sea of ​​mist viewing points in Thailand. You can see the sea of ​​mist almost all year round because the forest in this area is a tropical rainforest with high humidity.

360-degree sea of ​​mist: Gunung Silipat is a sea of ​​mist viewing point that can be seen in all directions, 360 degrees, especially in the early morning when the thick white mist covers the valley and the Sankalakhiri mountain range.
Can be viewed all year round: Although it can be viewed all year round, the most beautiful period is around February to April. Because the sky is clear and you can clearly see the sea of ​​fog contrasting with the blue sky.
Height: The peak of Gunung Silipat is 607 meters above sea level.
Stone platform on the peak: On top of the peak is a stone platform that can accommodate about 70-80 tourists.
Activities: In addition to watching the sea of ​​fog, you can also watch the sunrise, sunset, and stars at night.
Getting there:
Gunung Silipat is about 21 kilometers from Betong town. There are 2 main routes:
Route from Aiyerweng Subdistrict: There is a 4-wheel drive vehicle or jeep service from the community to take you to the starting point. Then walk up the mountain through the forest alternating with rubber and durian orchards of the villagers for about 2 kilometers to the camping site. And walk another 200 meters to the top of the mountain.
Route from Tambon Tanae Marae: The access point for 4-wheel drive vehicles is near the village checkpoint, km. 23 on Highway No. 410 (Yala-Betong).
Then walk through the villagers' rubber plantations for about 400 meters to the campsite and walk another 200 meters to the top of the mountain.
