Phra Phutthasthaphon Mongkhon (Luang Pho To), Wat Thawararam (Vietnamese Temple) | Kanchanaburi
Wat Thawararam or Wat Yuan was built during the reign of King Nangklao, Rama III. It is the first Vietnamese temple in Kanchanaburi Province and is an ancient temple that is over a hundred years old.
The temple has a Vietnamese name of “Kan Tho Tue” which means “living permanently” in Thai. Therefore, it has the name of the temple, Wat Thawararam, which was given by King Chulalongkorn, Rama V.
Another beautiful architecture of the temple is the Chinese-style pagoda called Phra Tamnak Somdej Phra Yanasangwon, which is a replica of the Thian Thian Tower in China.
