The Church of the Immaculate Conception is a Gothic-style architecture church modeled after the French Notre-Dame Cathedral. It is another beautiful and stunning tourist attraction that is over 100 years old and has been renovated five times. It was founded during World War II. The Church of Our Lady has a statue of the Virgin Mary standing prominently in front of the church. This place is not only beautiful, but is also a center of Christian faith.
The Church of Our Lady received the Preserved Building of the Year award in 1999.
The building uses carved wood decorated with stained glass in the shape of Christian saints. Inside, beside the entrance and exit, you will find a picture of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on each side. The statue is decorated with famous Chanthaburi gems arranged in a row, which is very delicate. You can also admire the magnificent beauty of the “Mother Mary decorated with gems” in the middle of the hall. It is made of gold, silver, and 20,000 carats of gems.
