Koh Chitrakut, or the island located on the Buddha Uthayan Reservoir, is another popular tourist attraction in Amnat Charoen Province. Its shape resembles a heart, and it also houses a shrine, a sacred well, and a merit-making bridge.
Koh Chitrakut, also known as "Love Promise Island," is located in the middle of the Buddha Uthayan Reservoir in Bung Subdistrict, Mueang District, Amnat Charoen Province.

Location: Opposite Phra Mongkhon Ming Mueang
Distinctive Features: The island's heart-shaped shape makes it a popular destination for couples to make vows and promises.
Interesting Attractions on the Island: There are three shrines housing sacred objects for people to worship and make wishes. There is also a sacred pond called "Sarn Tiyakkhafa," whose water was once used in the coronation ceremony of King Rama X.
Accessibility: The island can be accessed from the north. There is a bridge to cross over.
Activities: Phuttha Uthayan Reservoir is also a popular recreational area for locals, perfect for morning and evening strolls and exercise. You can also climb to the observation tower to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Near Ko Chitrakut and Phuttha Uthayan Reservoir, there are several important tourist attractions, most notably Phra Mongkhon Ming Mueang, located opposite the reservoir.
Other interesting attractions in Mueang Amnat Charoen District include:
Wat Tham Saeng Phet: This temple features a hilltop viharn and a large cave. Inside the cave is a beautiful Buddha image and is a meditation center for the teachings of Phra Achan Cha Suphatto.
Ming Mueang Park: This is home to the Amnat Charoen City Pillar Shrine and features beautifully landscaped gardens.
Phu Sing-Phu Pha Phueng Forest Park: Ideal for nature and cycling enthusiasts, it features hiking trails and is also the province's highest viewpoint.
Each attraction is easily accessible by car.
