Enjoy this 5.3-km out-and-back trail near Chom Thong, Chiang Mai. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 54 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are October through July.
the Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail. While the trail is marked, a guide not only provides additional income for the local community but also enhances the overall hiking experience. Some guides may speak English, but most do not. The trail starts out relatively easy as it descends through a forest filled with pine trees such as Pinus Kesiya. Along the way, you’ll find informational boards providing insight into the local environment. You will reach the waterfall, passing greenhouses filled with marigold flowers, which are used in worship of the Buddha, before finally reaching the Pha Dok Siew Waterfall.
