Bang Khae Noi Temple, Amphawa Temple

Located on the banks of the Mae Klong River. At the mouth of Bang Khae Canal, Kwae Om Subdistrict, it was built in 1814. Inside the temple are ancient sites and interesting antiques, including:
This temple was built by Khunying Jui (Noi) Wongsaroj in 1868 and was renovated many times until 1997 when it fell into disrepair again. Phrakru Samutnanthakhun (Prae) therefore built a new chapel that is seen today. Interesting things about Bang Khae Noi Temple In addition to Busabong Thaen Watchara-atana which is where the Buddha's relics are enshrined of His Majesty the Lord Buddha And inside the monastery where the wax figure of Somdet Phra Buddhacarya To Phromrangsi is enshrined. The present chapel is unique in that the entire floor of the chapel uses only 7 sheets of Takhian Thong wood. Each sheet is 40-44 inches wide, 2 inches thick, and 15 meters long, arranged in a row until it is full. As for the base used to support the Buddha image, it is made of very large Makha Mong wood, measuring 2 and a half meters wide, 3 meters long, and 4 inches thick. The cement base for the Buddha image is carved in the shape of a fishnet, which was the work of a famous carver from Phetchaburi. You can see it. Available every day from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. For more information, call: +66 3476 1222
