Wang Nong Bua Daeng is a large natural pond covering an area of ​​over 2,000 rai. It is full of red and pink lotus flowers, making it another highlight of Nong Khai where you can get close to nature.
The Red Lotus Sea is vast, covering an area of ​​approximately 2,000–2,600 rai. The lotus population (red lotus) blooms in late–early December–February.
Take a boat trip in the morning when the light is soft (until 10:00 AM) for a slow and quiet paddle to enjoy the view and water birds such as egrets or ducks.
Lotus viewing boat services include both rowboats and flat-bottomed boats (some areas have engines). The boat trip costs approximately 50 baht per person or a charter of approximately 200 baht. The tour takes approximately 1 hour.
