Hutsadin Elephant Foundatio (ปางช้างหัสดินทร์ ) Pheung Wan came to Hutsadin Elephant Foundation in September 2014 after slipping down a ditch in the rain at her previous elephant park where she gave Howda (chair rides) to visitors.
She was one of the most laid back and gentle elephants you could ever meet. Pheung Wan enjoyed 9 very happy years with us at the Foundation and brought a smile to the faces of everyone lucky enough to meet her.
One of her favourite things was to have her tongue rubbed and she also loved spending time at the scratching tree. However, whilst she loved eating bananas, she didn’t like tomatoes and would always spit them out. She also enjoyed her special face and hip massages.
Thai Elephants The donations will be for buying fruits for the elephants to eat, booking an elephant bathing appointment, taking the elephants for a walk. Simply put, the elephants here do not sit still and wait for donations, but the elephants here also return the favor by working in exchange for food.
There are many activities to do here, such as bathing the baby elephants, with the mahouts taking care of them nearby. After bathing the elephants, they will feed the elephants fruits such as bananas, sugarcane, or ride the elephants to see the forest and the beautiful nature of Hua Hin District.
The workers here are all Thai, about 15 people. These workers will take care of the elephants and also take care of tourists, such as when they go on a trip to see the forest as elephant tour guides. The rest of the staff here will take care of the daily work of the Hasdin Elephant Foundation.
