It is an important and famous tourist attraction of Nan province. The image of the temple has appeared on Thai banknotes.
It was founded in the middle of the 18th Buddhist century, through many eras, starting from the Mueang Lang-Woranakhon era, the Lanna era, and the Rattanakosin era. One interesting period here is the Lanna era because it is the period when many important places were born, such as the Chedi of Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, Chedi of Wat Suan Tan, and Chedi of Wat Phra That Chang Kham, including "Wat Phumin" located in Ban Phumin, Tambon Nai Wiang.
Wat Phumin is located on Phakong Road, Ban Phumin, Tambon Nai Wiang, Mueang Nan District, Nan Province.

•This 5-day, 4-night trip to Nan during the rainy season allowed Khun Tum to visit many important landmarks in Nan province. The itinerary is summarized as follows:
-Day 1: Travel to Nan
▪Starting with visits to Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (Phitsanulok) and Wat Phra That Cho Hae (Phrae).
Arriving in Nan, visit Wat Phra That Chae Haeng and Wat Phumin.
Stop to sample sweets at Baan Yai Phorn Dessert Shop. Before checking in at Manapua, Pua District
Day 2: Touring Pua and Doi Sakad

Visit Ban Hua Nam Mushroom Farm, Wat Phuket, and Rim Nan Art Gallery
End the day at Pua Brewery Cafe and Coco Valley Cafe before checking into Baan Klang Na Homestay
-Day 3: To Sapan and Huai Thon Village

-Day 5: Return Trip
▪Enjoy the view at Doi Samoe Dao, stop by Khun Sathan National Park, and end the trip at Phae Muang Phi Forest Park (Phrae Province) before returning to Bangkok.
