Huai Luang Waterfall is one of the most beautiful and important tourist attractions in Phu Chong Na Yoi National Park, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
This beautiful waterfall is located within Phu Chong Na Yoi National Park, encompassing Buntharik, Na Chaluai, and Nam Yuen Districts in Ubon Ratchathani Province.
It also borders Laos and Cambodia, making the forests here incredibly beautiful and lush.
Interesting Facts About Huai Luang Waterfall
Former Name: Locals call it Bak Tew Waterfall.
Size: This large waterfall originates from the Huai Luang Stream, reaching a height of approximately 45 meters (some sources say 30-50 meters). It cascades down a steep cliff face. Highlights: The waterfall cascades into a large emerald-green pool below, with a pristine white sandy beach. This makes it a delightful place to swim.
Importance: Considered one of the largest and highest waterfalls in the lower northeastern region.
Access: To view the waterfall and swim below, you must climb down a set of approximately 272-273 steps.
Getting there and location Location: Located within Phu Chong Na Yoi National Park, Na Chaluai Subdistrict, Na Chaluai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
Distance: Approximately 3.5 kilometers from the park headquarters.
Route: From Ubon Ratchathani City, take Highway 24 (Ubon Ratchathani - Det Udom). Then, turn onto Highway 4029 towards Na Chaluai District. Then, turn onto Highway 2248, passing the district office to the park entrance. The total distance is approximately 120-140 kilometers.

Vehicles: Approximately 30 baht (for cars)
Opening Hours: Usually 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (check with the park before traveling)
Best Time to Visit: The waterfall has water flowing almost year-round, but is particularly beautiful during the rainy season (i.e., July-October). It's also ideal for swimming during the winter and dry seasons (November-May) as the water is crystal clear.
