Khao Sakae Krang was formerly known as Khao Kaeo. Today, it is a revered place among Uthai Thani residents, and is a popular destination for worship and merit-making. Climb the 449 steps to the summit of Khao Sakae Krang. The summit also houses a replica of the Buddha's footprint, offering stunning views of Uthai Thani. Wat Sangkasatnakiri, an ancient temple built in 1900, houses the 600-700-year-old Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit (Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit) in the Mara-Vijaya posture.

On the first day of the waxing moon in the 11th lunar month of every year, the Tak Bat Devo ceremony takes place at Wat Sangkasattanakiri, an important and grand tradition in Uthai Thani Province.
