Tourist attraction Wat Rattanakiri Khao Chakan | Sa Kaeo Province
The Wat Rattanakiri you mentioned is Wat Sangkasrattanakiri, located on Khao Sakae Krang in Uthai Thani Province. This temple is known for its Tak Bat Thevo tradition.
It belongs to the Mahanikaya sect of monks. Inside the temple is the Wat Rattanakiri Standing Buddha statue. It is a large standing Buddha statue in a contemplative pose, approximately 18 meters high. The topknot has white flames. It stands with its back to Khao Chakan and faces the front of Wat Rattanakiri, which is nestled against the cliff face of Khao Chakan amidst the beautiful natural surroundings. It was built around 1973 by Luang Pho Det, the former abbot.
