A natural attraction in Uthai Thani, surrounded by limestone mountains, is Wat Tham Khao Wong. The shady and peaceful atmosphere is perfect for meditation. A replica of the Buddha's footprint is available for Buddhists to pay homage to. Visitors often take photos of the bridge and the four-story Thai-style house near the entrance to Tham Wong. Besides making merit and paying respects, visitors can also walk up to admire the cave. Although the path is steep and requires caution, the view from the top is so beautiful you'll forget you're tired.
Thai-style Architecture
What makes Wat Tham Khao Wong famous is its large, four-story Thai-style meditation hall, constructed from teak and makha wood, combined with reclaimed timber, nestled against the towering limestone mountain.
First Floor: A multi-purpose courtyard and shops.
Second Floor: A viharn enshrining a replica of the Buddha's footprint. and wax figures of monks.
3rd Floor: Monks' quarters (off-limits to general visitors)
4th Floor: Ubosot (ordination hall) for meditation and Dhamma practice.
2. Surrounding Atmosphere
Landscape: White limestone mountains at the back contrast with lush greenery. In front is a large pond (Wang Nam Wimok) filled with various kinds of fish. Tourists often come to feed the fish here. The atmosphere is shady and cool all year round.
Cave: There are approximately 7-8 caves at the back and surrounding areas of the temple. Some caves are meditation seats for monks and practitioners.

Getting there: The temple is approximately 12 kilometers from Ban Rai District. The entrance to the temple is shaded by large trees.
