Wat That Prasit , Na Wa Subdistrict | Nakhon Phanom Province

Wat That is not exactly known when it was built, but it underwent a major renovation in 1833. The chedi was modeled after Phra That Phanom. Inside, it contains relics of the Lord Buddha, Arahant relics, soil from four sacred Buddhist sites, and numerous ancient Buddha images. After the renovation, the temple's name was changed to Wat Phra That Prasit in 1963.
History
Original Chedi: Wat That Prasit has an ancient chedi with no clear evidence of its construction. It is a square chedi with twelve recessed corners and a layered base.
Renovation: A major renovation was carried out in 1911. In 1956, a new chedi was constructed, imitating Phra That Phanom.
Naming: The new chedi was named "Phra That Prasit" was built in 1963, according to the royal title of the abbot who built it.
