Doi Inthanon National Park @ChiangMai | Chiang Mai
Located in Ban Luang Subdistrict, Doi Inthanon was originally called “Doi Luang” or “Doi Ang Ka”. Doi Luang means a large mountain, 300 meters west of Doi Inthanon. As for the part called Doi Ang Ka, there is a story that there was a pond that looked like a pond. In the past, there were flocks of crows playing in the water, so it was called Ang Ka. Later, it was collectively called Doi Ang Ka. Doi Inthanon is part of the Himalayas, which runs from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, and ends here. What is interesting about this mountain is not only the highest peak in the country, but also the diverse landscape and forest conditions, and the cold weather all year round.
