Wat Phra That Doi Kham Temple
At Wat Phra That Doi Kham, you will notice Phra That Doi Kham standing out prominently. Originally, this chedi was the place where the hair of the Lord Buddha was enshrined according to beliefs. Therefore, it was constantly renovated and decorated by those in power at that time. From the Hariphunchai Kingdom by the son of Queen Chamadevi, to the period when the Lanna Kingdom was born and flourished. Then, when Lanna declined, Wat Phra That Doi Kham became a deserted temple. Until many valuable antiques were discovered, including the belief in the sacredness of praying for blessings that were passed down through the generations, resulting in capital flowing into both Wat Phra That Doi Kham and the temple mound area, which is famous for the tradition of worshipping Pu Sae and Ya.

It is an important temple in Chiang Mai Province, over 1,300 years old, located in Doi Kham, behind Royal Park Rajapruek, approximately 10 kilometers from the city. Wat Phra That Doi Kham is approximately 140 meters above the plains of Chiang Mai and 465 meters above mean sea level. Wat Phra That Doi Kham has a viewpoint where you can see the scenery around Chiang Mai. It is also the location of the Phra Chao Tan Jai, which is over five hundred years old.
