Museum Siam is a new museum and is considered the first learning museum that focuses on creating a new experience in visiting a museum. It was established to be a model of a pleasant learning resource and help raise the standard of learning management in a new form for the public, especially Thai children and youth, in creating a sense of knowing oneself, knowing one's neighbors, and knowing the world.
Directions:
- By car: Get off the expressway at Yommarat toll plaza, drive onto Lan Luang Road, enter Sanam Luang, pass Wat Phra Kaew, drive straight towards Wat Pho, turn left and then right past the Land Department. Turn right again in front of Phra Ratchawang Police Station, run to the Siam Museum on the left.
- By bus: Line 3, 6, 9, 12, 32, 44, 47, 53, 82, 524
- By BTS: Get off at Wongwian Yai Station and take bus line 82.
- By MRT: Get off at Sanam Chai Station and take Exit 1.
- By boat: Get off at Tha Tien Pier, walk until you reach the main road, then turn right. Walk straight past Wat Pho. Then you will see the Museum Siam on your left.
Admission fee:
- Thai and foreign adults 100 baht
- Students, show your ID card at the counter and receive a 50% discount
- Group visit (4 or more people) receive a 50% discount
- Free admission for Thai and foreign youth under 15 years old, senior citizens 60 years old and above, monks, nuns, disabled and handicapped, tour guides (show ID card issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports)
- Free admission on public holidays announced by the National Discovery Museum Institute
Opening days and hours: Tuesday-Sunday (closed every Monday) 10.00 - 18.00 hrs.
