Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum @KhonKaen | Old City of Khon Kaen
Located in the heart of the Khorat plateau, Khon Kaen is a major educational and administrative centre of northeastern Thailand. Khon Kaen is widely known for its rich natural resources, the excavation of dinosaur fossils, serene lakes, quality silks, glorious waterfalls and its unusual flora and fauna; more importantly, the Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum.
The Dinosaur Research Center and Museum, formerly Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum, is a geological museum focusing on fossil exhibits. It is under the Department of Mineral Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. It is located on the 100-rai public utility area of Khok Sanambin in Tambon Nai Mueang, Amphoe Wiang Kao.
It consists of the Time-Travelling Water Curtain, the 103 Dinosaur Hunter Training School, the Rock Lab, the Excavation Pit Model, and the Million-Year-Old Stone Garden. It is open every Tuesday-Sunday (closed on Mondays) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Admission Fee: Thais: 20 baht for adults and 10 baht for children
Foreigners: 60 baht for adults and 30 baht for children
