As for traveling up the mountain to Mon Cham, some parts are very steep and sharp. The road is quite narrow, making it difficult for cars to pass each other. Parking at Mon Cham at the restaurant is limited. And if you go up during mealtime, the parking lot will be full. And you have to park your car below and walk up the steep mountain for about 100 meters. If you don't want to walk up the mountain, there are motorcycles for hire for 20 baht to take you up the mountain to Mon Cham
there are many view points up here where you can spot the spectacular view of green mountains. Also, on the top of the mountain on the east, there is a view point called 'Mon Long' which is a perfect spot for seeing the whole area of the Royal Project as well as the sea mist. If you turn around to the southern part of the area, you will see Mong Nong Hoi village and the development center of Royal Project which is surrounded by vegetable bed for the purpose of researching such as Artichokes, Lemon thyme, Mint, Camomile, Rosemary, Plum, Seedless Grapes, Strawberry, Red Olive, Tomato, Doi Kham. The best and perfect time to visit Mon Cham is from October to February. And, the proper way to travel to Mon Cham is travelling by car because the roads up to Mon Cham are lateritic soil trail. Mon Jam Accommodation The first place we went was Mon Kan Ing Doi, which had just opened for only 2 months to welcome Christmas and New Year. If you bring your own tent to set up here, it costs 150 baht per person. But if you sleep in a tent that they have provided, the small tent can accommodate 2 people and costs 500 baht per tent.
If you choose a larger tent that can accommodate 3-4 people, it costs 700 baht per tent.
