Ban Nam Rap is home to a blue swimming crab bank, a collaborative community initiative. While fishing is their livelihood and they utilize natural resources, they are committed to restoration and sustainable breeding. During our visit, the locals invited us to release mother crabs back into the sea, allowing them to thrive in the wild. A single mother crab can produce anywhere from 300,000 to a million eggs.
