Wat Suan Mokkhaphalaram | Surat Thani
Wat Than Nam Lai—commonly known as Suan Mokkhaphalaram—is located at Khao Phuttha Thong in Chaiya District, Surat Thani Province.
It was established by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu in 1959 as a sanctuary for seeking peace and studying the Dhamma.
The "Spiritual Theatre" (Rong Maharosop Thang Winyan) features art, poetry, and moral teachings from various Buddhist traditions, as well as depictions of the Buddha's life and replicas of Indian stone reliefs illustrating the Buddha's biography. The surrounding area offers a shady, peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place for mental cultivation and spiritual training.
