Location details
Coral Cave (Tham Pakarang) | Khao Phang Subdistrict, Surat Thani
Coral Cave is a hidden gem ("Unseen" attraction) located within Khao Sok National Park.
What makes this cave special is the constant flow of water and the presence of stalactites and stalagmites that branch out into small, bud-like formations. These are believed to have formed from limestone-rich water deposits interacting with unique atmospheric conditions, resulting in formations that resemble sea coral. Additionally, fossils of single-celled marine organisms dating back 250–400 million years have been discovered here.
