Si Khotrabun Golden Sand Beach, or the Mekong River Sand Beach, is a natural phenomenon visible only during February-May each year. When the water level in the Mekong River drops, a beautiful sand beach stretches for several kilometers in the middle of the river.

"Sai Thai Mueang" (meaning "Sai Thai Mueang Beach") is a large sandbar that emerges in the middle of the Mekong River during the dry season (approximately January to May each year).
