Location details
Wat Thong Khung, Amphawa | Samut Songkhram
Wat Thong Khung is a temple approximately 200 years old. There is no evidence of who built it.
Only restoration work has been done over the years. Originally named "Wat Ratchaburana," the temple was situated on the bank of a bend in the Mae Klong River. People who used the river as a waterway could see the temple from a distance. For this reason, the temple was renamed "Wat Thong Khung," which it remains to this day.
