Haad Rin Beach on Koh Phangan: Experience Crystal Clear Waters and White Sand | Surat Thani
World-renowned for its Full Moon Party held every full moon night, this beach is divided into two main sections: Haad Rin Nok (Sunrise Beach) and Haad Rin Nai (Sunset Beach).
This beach stretches over 2 kilometers and is considered the most beautiful beach on Koh Phangan. It's famous worldwide for hosting the Full Moon Party every full moon night. Because Haad Rin connects two rocky cliffs jutting into the sea, it's divided into two zones with distinct atmospheres:
Haad Rin Nok: Located on the southeast side of the island, it's lively and the main location for the Full Moon Party. There are numerous local restaurants lining the beach, perfect for sunbathing or playing beach volleyball with friends.
Haad Rin Nai: Located on the southwest side of the island, it's the ferry terminal and offers a relatively peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation. It is also a beautiful spot to watch the sunset.
Getting there from Koh Samui:
Take a ferry, such as Haadrin Queen Ferry, directly to Haadrin Pier.
From Thong Sala (Koh Phangan):
Take a shared taxi (songthaew) for about 15-20 minutes, or a longtail boat.

Traveling from Haad Rin (Koh Phangan) to Surat Thani Province (Mainland/Don Sak Pier):
Start by taking a ferry from Haad Rin to Thong Sala Pier, the central hub of Koh Phangan.
(Approximately 30–45 minutes by shared taxi or minibus)
Then, take a ferry to Don Sak Pier, Surat Thani.
The total travel time is approximately 3–4 hours. The cost starts at around 350–500 baht.
