Located on Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province, it is the second largest and most famous beach after Chaweng Beach. It boasts a beautiful bay approximately 4 kilometers long, with fine white sand. The atmosphere is quieter and less crowded than Chaweng Beach, making it ideal for relaxation, swimming, and offering complete amenities.
After visiting the magnificent Hin Ta Hin Yai rock formations, continue for about 2 kilometers to find a major highlight of Koh Samui: Lamai Beach. This famous beach, stretching over 4 kilometers, is just as charming as Chaweng Beach, boasting its own unique character. It features fine white sand and clear blue waters. If you want to relax and listen to the waves, read a book under the shade of coconut trees, there are quiet spots for you. For those who want to enjoy activities, there are various water sports to choose from, such as jet skiing, banana boating, kayaking, or sailing. Getting There
From Nathon Pier, Ang Thong Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, head south:
Follow Chonlawithi Road. Enter Ang Thong Road and proceed 300 meters.
Turn right after the Max Murphy intersection (on the left).
Continue for another 15.7 km and then turn left onto Road No. 4169. Travel for another 2.9 km.
After that, turn right onto Phongphanrat Road/Lamai Beach Road for 1.1 km and then turn right.
Continue for approximately 170 meters to reach Lamai Beach, Maret Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province.
