Ao Khao, Koh Mak | Trat
“Ao Khao” lives up to its name with its fine, soft sand stretching from Laem Chan to Ao Krathung, contrasting with the clear blue waters of Koh Mak. A highlight not to be missed is the long, leaning coconut trees along the sand and into the sea, a popular spot for tourists to take photos.
In the evening, it's recommended to watch the sunset at Laem Tukata, where the last rays of the day reflect beautifully on the sea. From Ao Khao, you can also kayak to Koh Rayang or take a speedboat tour from Ao Khao pier.
Ao Khao (White Bay) lives up to its name with its beautiful white sand beach. The sand is fine and soft, with a slight reddish tint. The beach stretches from Laem Chan to Ao Krathung, with some sections separated by rocks. The area behind the beach is shaded by coconut and pine groves. During sunset, you can also enjoy stunning views of the last rays of sunlight disappearing over Laem Tukata (Doll Head).
In addition, from Ao Khao, you can see the beautiful islands of Koh Rayang Nai and Koh Rayang Nok. If you are interested in visiting these two islands, speedboats from the Ao Khao pier offer tours to Koh Rayang Nok.
