Wat Sri Phantong is located in Nai Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Nan District, Nan Province. It was built by Phaya Phantong, the ruler of the Phuka Dynasty. The temple is named after its builder. However, in some periods, it was also called Wat Sali Phantong.
