Ban Pang Hai, a mountain village in Chiang Mai Province, is a small village nestled in the valleys of Thep Sadet Subdistrict, Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai Province (approximately 20 kilometers from Mae Kampong). It's known for its tranquil atmosphere, a stream flowing through the village, and cool, comfortable weather year-round.
Nature and Streams: Surrounded by mountains and large trees, the village boasts a clear stream flowing through many accommodations and cafes, making it ideal for relaxing, listening to the sound of water, and breathing in the fresh air.
Arabica Coffee and Tea Source: Due to its high altitude, this area is a source of high-quality coffee and tea leaves. You can sample freshly brewed coffee from the plantations or try local dishes like "Yum Bai Miang" (tea leaf salad).
Nature-Style Cafes: There are several beautifully decorated cafes, such as Take a Walk, featuring a Tarzan-style house and a suspension bridge, or Fae Miang Cafe, which is decorated in a vintage style.
Tranquility: Unlike Mae Kampong, which can be more crowded, Ban Pang Hai offers a peaceful atmosphere. Pang Hai Village retains its simplicity and privacy.
Pang Hai Slow Bar is a new coffee shop in Pang Hai Village. It's a small shop next to a house, focusing on the taste of every cup of coffee. The owner, Jack, is very friendly and gives great coffee recommendations. Enjoy a cup of coffee and chat in the slow bar style. Jack let me try his Black Magic coffee, and I was amazed by the taste – I've never encountered anything like it before. Coffee lovers must try this shop at least once; you're sure to be hooked.
Located about 100 meters past Pang Hai Temple, on the right-hand side.
