Take a tour of Wat Muen Ngern Kong (วัดหมื่นเงินกอง ) | Chiang Mai

Wat Muen Ngern Kong is located on Sam Lan Road in Phra Singh Subdistrict, near Suan Dok Gate.
Wat Muen Ngern Kong was built during the reign of King Kue Na of the Mangrai Dynasty. Within the temple grounds are several interesting sites, including the ancient viharn (ordination hall), a half-timbered, half-wooden Lanna-style building. Inside, the principal Buddha image is enshrined in Lanna style, and the ordination hall (ordination hall), crafted by authentic Lanna craftsmen, is decorated with gold leaf and glass. Beside the viharn is the reclining Buddha (ordination hall), a reclining Buddha image in the Lanna Chiang Mai style, enshrined on a lotus pedestal.
