Chainat Muni National Museum @Chainat | Chai Nat

This collection, preservation, conservation, and exhibition center houses a variety of cultural heritage artifacts and artefacts from various nations. It is also a major tourist attraction in Chainat Province.
The museum showcases amulets found in archaeological research in Thailand, as well as various agricultural tools and equipment. A must-see for museum-goers.
General Information
Location: Located within the grounds of Wat Phra Borommathat Worawihan Temple, Chainat Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chainat Province.
Establishment: Established at the initiative of Phra Chainat Muni (Nawam Sutatta), the Fine Arts Department constructed the museum in 1966. Exhibitions: A diverse range of artifacts from prehistoric times to the Rattanakosin period, including ancient tools, religious and belief-related artwork, and local wisdom.
Interesting Features
Luang Pho Phet: A Sukhothai-style Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, with a blend of Lanna and Thai styles. It is considered an important national artifact, originally housed at Wat Phra Borommathat Worawihan.
Buddha amulets from various periods: from the Dvaravati to the Rattanakosin periods.
Dvaravati artifacts: such as polished stone axes, stone Buddha images, and carved stone slabs.
Ayutthaya artifacts: such as stucco Buddha images in royal attire.
