Wat Mahathat or Huamuang Temple | Chai Nat
Built during the Ayutthaya period, this temple boasts only a stucco Buddha image, the Luang Pho Yai, or Buddha image over 700 years old. Behind the ancient chapel, a large Phra Mahathat (Phra Mahathat) remains, with only its multi-tiered square base remaining. The temple also houses the sacred Luang Pho Lak Muang (Luang Pho Mor) statue.
