Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan is a place for worship and blessings at Phra That Phanom, a sacred relic of Nakhon Phanom since 8 B.E. during the reign of the Sri Khotburi Kingdom. It is considered one of the oldest relics in Thailand.
The relic, or breastbone of the Lord Buddha, was brought from the Indian subcontinent and enshrined on the banks of the Mekong River, presided over by the five rulers of the city.
