Wat Prachakomwanaram, also known as Wat Pa Kung, was built by Luang Pu Sri Mahaweero. It is a large pagoda made from natural sandstone, considered the first of its kind in Thailand. It was inspired by the Borobudur (Borombuddha) pagoda on Java Island, Indonesia. Inside, the pagoda houses the relics of the Lord Buddha. Wat Prachakomwanaram, also known as "Wat Pa Kung," is located in Si Somdet Subdistrict, Si Somdet District, Roi Et Province. It is a temple under the Dhammayuttika Nikaya sect and was built by Luang Pu Sri Mahaweero. History: The temple received royal permission for the construction of the boundary markers in 1970. Interesting features: The temple's most striking feature is its sandstone pagoda, the first sandstone pagoda in Thailand, modeled after the Borobudur pagoda in Indonesia. Inside the pagoda are the relics of the Lord Buddha.
Carvings: The pagoda features bas-relief carvings in sandstone depicting stories from the life of the Buddha and various Jataka tales.
