Wat Thammarat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District | Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

This is an old royal temple where the kings regularly come to listen to the sermon on Buddhist holy days. It was built by Phraya Thammakaraj, son of Phra Chao Sai Nam Phueng. This is also the place where the Buddhist examinations were held.
The head of Phra Thammakaraj, which is considered the largest and most important bronze Buddha head in Thailand, is currently kept at the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum.
