Silaphet Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall in Doi Phu Kha National Park, a must-visit spot in Nan | Nan
It is a three-tiered waterfall originating from the Yang River, surrounded by mixed deciduous and evergreen forests. There is a large, shallow pool where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. It is also a habitat for the Nan Stone Butterflyfish and the Silaphet Waterfall Batfish, local fish species of Nan Province.
The water originates from the Yang River and flows down the waterfall in three tiers, surrounded by mixed deciduous and evergreen forests. The lower part of the waterfall has a large pool with large schools of fish swimming around, especially the Nan Stone Butterflyfish and the Silaphet Waterfall Batfish, which can only be found in Nan Province.
Getting there
Take Highway 1080, the Nan-Thung Chang route. When you reach Tha Wang Pha District, at approximately kilometer marker 41-42, there will be a right turn onto Highway 1170. Continue for about 10 kilometers. When you reach Highway 1081, turn left. Before turning right into Patong Village.
