Wat Phra That Sri Khun is a sacred monument and landmark of Na Kae District, located in Na Kae Subdistrict, Na Kae District, Nakhon Phanom Province.
General Information and Discovery History
The stupa was first discovered around 1797 AD.
By villagers who were Laotian immigrants.
Restoration: It underwent major restoration during the years 1943–1947 AD.
A new structure was built to cover the original one.
Height: The stupa is approximately 24 meters high.
It resembles Phra That Phanom, but differs in that the first level has two sections, a square shape decorated with stucco reliefs of angels and trees, while the second level is shorter than Phra That Phanom.
Containers: Inside are the relics of the Arahants Phra Moggallana, Phra Sariputra, and Phra Sangkatchayana. Brought from India
