Wat Ashokaram is a place for Vipassana meditation. The name "Ashokaram" means "a place of joy free from sorrow." The temple grounds are lined with shady trees and a variety of flora.
Phra That Tangk Chedi is a group of 13 chedis, symbolizing the 13 principles of ascetic practice. Each chedi enshrines relics of the Lord Buddha, and is stunningly beautiful. There is also the Wisutthithammarangsi Vihara, a three-story, four-sided building with a pure gold mandapa finial enshrining relics of the Lord Buddha. Inside the vihara is a replica of the Phra Buddha Chinnarat.
