Khao No rises up a steep limestone mountain. Khao No is divided into two parts: Khao Phra Phutthabat and Khao Nang Phanthurat. Those wishing to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint can ascend Khao No via Khao Phra Phutthabat. The ascent is quite steep and steep, with over 700 steps, some as steep as 90 degrees.
Things to Know Before Going to Khao No - Khao Kaeo, Nakhon Sawan Province
1. Parking safely is recommended at Khao No Temple or you can park your car at the parking area.
2. Khao No is home to many monkeys. They're not aggressive. You can feed them, but be careful not to tease or touch them. Keep valuables safe.
3. The route up Khao No is divided into three main sections: concrete stairs, stone stairs, and a monkey stairs (metal stairs).
4. Prepare drinking water and smelling salts beforehand (we packed sticky rice with pork to recharge).
5. Khao No can be climbed all day long. However, it's recommended to climb in the morning to avoid the heat.
6. Come prepared for exercise, as the route is not far but steep, with a temperature of 90 degrees.
7. Bring gloves and mosquito repellent.
8. Dress appropriately, as the heat and slippery, sharp rocks can cause cuts.
